Part of the American Memory presentation of the US Library of Congress, this site features the Charles L Todd and Robert Sonkin Migrant Worker Collection of audio recordings, photographs, manuscript materials, publications, and ephemera that document the lives of migrants and Dust Bowl refugees living in Farm Security Administration (FSA) camps in central California in 1940 and 1941. Some of the recordings included here are those of storytelling sessions, camp council meetings, camp court proceedings, conversations, personal narratives, and a variety of songs. Recordings can be browsed by song text or titles.
